Toby takes the road back to the National League with the Fleet!

He arrived as a trialist and ended the season as a league champion and the Vanarama National League South Player of the Month for April.

Now former Woking and Aldershot Town midfielder Toby Edser is returning to the National League and the Kuflink Stadium as he becomes the first player announced to have agreed a new contract for the 2023/24 season.

The 24-year-old, who came through Nottingham Forest’s youth ranks, earned his place in Dennis Kutrieb’s squad after joining in pre-season on a trial basis, playing the first friendly at Punjab United.

His convincing performances earned him a deal at the Kuflink Stadium last July and he became increasingly influential in the team’s midfield, scoring 13 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions and as many assists to top the charts as one of the club’s most effective providers of goalscoring chances.

He ended the season not only as a champion but with his first hat-trick in senior football when his three goals broke the club’s 65-year-old record of league goals in a season.

We’ll welcome Toby back to pre-season training next month and are delighted to have him back in the Fleet ranks for our assault on the National League in 2023/24.
