Fleet midfielder and supporters’ player of the season Stuart Lewis spoke to FleetOnline to thank fans for voting for him in the end-of-season poll.
“It’s such an honour to receive the player of the year award,” he said. “I’d like to thank the gaffer for sticking with me when he was appointed manager. I hope my performances justified his decision. A mention too for my teammates who have helped me reach high standards week in, week out – to win this award in front of Keds and Gods who have both had outstanding seasons is special.
“Also, I’ve built up a good relationship with the fans, who have been fantastic – a special thanks to those who voted for me!
“I will always give 100% on and off the pitch. Hopefully we can gain promotion in the final which I’m confident we can do. Everyone connected with Ebbsfleet United deserves it for all the hard work and support they put in throughout the season.”
