Hemel game designated ‘memorial match’

Amidst the euphoria of kicking-off a new season with supporters in the stadium finally, we are of course mindful of those we lost since Fleet supporters last stepped inside their home ground.

As previously advised, we stated we would remember all those dear to our hearts when supporters were back inside the stadium.

We have decided to designate the Hemel Hempstead match on Saturday 28th August as our ‘Memorial Match’ – this particular weekend coincides also with the 75th anniversary of Fleet’s first ever game (on August 31st 1946) and we felt this would be a most appropriate occasion on which to remember all those who supported or played for the club down the years.

On our website, we will be creating a permanent memorial page for ALL your departed family or friends to remember them and you may submit names, details and photographs if you would like a loved one remembered. Simply complete the form below and attach a photo if desired.

Furthermore, our matchday programme for the game will not only feature the names of all those who have passed away in the last year and a half but also anyone else submitted to us before the deadline by the end of Monday 23 August. You can fill in the form below for that also, or send names and any date you wish commemorated to ed.miller@eufc.co.uk

There will of course be a silent reflection ahead of kick-off to mark the occasion as well, while we remember all those we have lost.

Leave your tribute to a loved one on our website
