The Fleet or Slough Town will be home to League Two Grimsby Town in Round One of the Emirates FA Cup following this afternoon’s ITV1 draw.
The tie will be played on the weekend of 3/4/5 November.
Grimsby are currently 18th in their division and this will be the first cup-tie meeting between the clubs. We did meet previously in the Conference, for two seasons running in 2011/12 and 2012/13. Of those four matches, Fleet won the first, have drawn one and lost two.
First of course, the Fleet will travel to Slough Town where there must be a result on the night to decide who will contest that Round One tie with the Mariners.
