The Fleet’s first pre-season fixture of the 2009-10 campaign has been arranged.
League One Colchester United are the visitors, with the game to be played at Stonebridge Road on
Thursday, 30 July 2009, kick-off 7.45pm.
The clubs have met before in a pre-season friendly and more memorably in November 1995 in an FA Cup First Round tie, with the Fleet in the Beazer Homes League Premier Division and Colchester in the old Fourth Division. The Fleet triumphed 2-0 that day with goals from Jimmy Jackson and Peter Mortley.
