As ever, the club hugely appreciates the sacrifices and huge efforts that our loyal supporters make week in, week out – and never more so than by those who travelled to Halifax at the weekend. Despite our best efforts to avoid disappointment for our fans, the game unfortunately did not go ahead due to a waterlogged pitch.
We were of course frustrated and disappointed about an outcome that could have been avoided, particularly for our supporters and the sacrifices made.
Therefore, the club will be funding a supporters’ coach for the rearranged fixture for those who travelled to Halifax last weekend. We have also received a fantastic gesture from our friends and supporters at ATM Events. Paul Wild of ATM was due to be the club’s guest at Halifax and following Saturday’s events, he has kindly donated two Emirates FA Cup hospitality tickets for the Chelsea v Manchester City semi-final on Saturday 20th April as a prize to help fund the travel back to Halifax. These tickets include: two VIP Club Packages with Official Long Side seats, access to Club Wembley, a £25 food and drinks voucher and a matchday programme and are valued at over £1,200.
