Academy aim for hold on top spot

Ebbsfleet United’s Academy side are in action on Wednesday afternoon against Eastbourne Borough as Daryl McMahon’s table toppers aim to consolidate their hold on the league.

Both Fleet and Eastbourne are one of four sides in with a realistic shout of winning the Football Conference Youth Alliance East Sussex/Kent Division. Fleet are top with 34 points, two ahead of Dover in second. Eastbourne lie third on 31 points alongside Bromley but they have one and two games in hand respectively.

Wednesday sides are fairly evenly matched, with both Fleet and Eastbourne having lost just two league games, but the visitors are an exciting attacking side topping the goalscoring charts with 76 goals from 12 games this season.

The match kicks off at 1.00pm at Stonebridge Road on Wednesday February 25.
