Dennis Kutrieb hailed Fleet’s performance and their fighting character following the 4-2 win at Welling.
“It was a much-needed win especially after going one-nil down in the game,” he told BBC Radio Kent’s Charles Webster. “So you start to think is it our day – but every one of them was outstanding. You can struggle on this pitch and they showed character and responded in the right way.
“Welling fought for their lives, it’s what you could see, they put a big shift in. But we were the better side not just from the footballing point of view but the fighting [spirit] too.”
