OSJ does it the Fleet way!

Getting things under way in the done-deals for the Fleet this week, it’s the news that Omari Sterling-James has committed to another season at the Kuflink Stadium in 2023/24.

The Birmingham-born wide player signed from Kidderminster Harriers last summer โ€“ who he’ll be meeting in the National League next season following their promotion via the North play-offs โ€“ and was a key member of Dennis Kutrieb’s title-winning side.

Sterling-James played 42 times in all competitions, scoring his first goal for the Fleet in the 7-2 rout of Worthing โ€“ and he contributed eight assists in a campaign where he also exhibited plenty of defensive traits to go with his attacking prowess.

The Fleet’s No.7, who has also played in the National League for Solihull Moors, earned two more international caps last season when he played for Saints Kitts & Nevis in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Primarily used down the right flank, Sterling-James built a useful partnership out wide with Luke O’Neill, whose own new deal was announced last Friday, and the pair will be itching to recreate that at National League level.

With eight players now confirmed for 2023/24, don’t miss your last chance to get your earlybird season-ticket before the discounted rate expires after Wednesday. Buy online here.
