The Fleet’s fundraising efforts for MANarama and Prostate Cancer UK are only £175 from the ‘grand’ total following additional donations last weekend. Should our total reach £1,000 it gives the club a second chance to win use of a minibus for three years.
With the deadline extended by a week by Vanarama, Fleet fans, members of Fleet Heart and regular patrons of The Edinburgh Castle pub on Northfleet’s High Street dug deep and generously added a further £140 via a collection.
Due to the Emirates FA Cup ties being played last weekend, Vanarama granted clubs a further week to raise funds for this year’s MANarama and Prostate Cancer UK campaign. The deadline is now next Saturday (16th) instead of the 9th.
The money raised goes towards the Vanarama-backed charity, and Fleet are also in with a chance of winning a Toyato Proace Verso, courtesy of league sponsors Vanarama.
As part of this year’s MANarama campaign, raising money for Prostate Cancer UK, the club will be entered into a prize draw now that we have reached £500 on our JustGiving page. Should any club pass £1,000 for donations, there is an extra entry into the prize draw. Fleet’s total is currently £825.
We would also like to thank the Fleet Trust and individual supporters who have contributed via bucket collections, donations in person and online.
Anyone can continue to contribute via the link above with the deadline for donations now midnight on Saturday 16 November.
On 19 November, one club will be drawn out of the hat to win the minibus on a three-year lease for free. The vehicle will be presented to the winning club on the weekend of 23 November.
This is a fantastic incentive for a fantastic cause. The Fleet are one of 68 clubs that have signed up alongside Vanarama, Motorama and The National League to support the charity.
