Haydoin’ it again!

Playing for Chesterfield in the National League for three seasons will have given our latest re-signing plenty of experience in what’s to come in 2023/24 as defender Haydn Hollis rejoins Dennis Kutrieb’s squad for the new campaign.

The big 30-year-old was certainly a presence at the back for the Fleet in our title-winning season as he roared back from a serious injury now long behind him to register 34 appearances for his new club, finding the net twice against St Albans City and Farnborough.

Hollis, who may have confessed to mixed feelings in the National League promotion final having played for Notts County as well as Chesterfield, appeared in non-league’s top tier for Darlington in his younger days and has also turned out for Forest Green Rovers in a career that has so far topped 300 senior games.

Organisational skills, a vocal presence and aerial ability are attributes that Fleet supporters got used to last season and we are pleased to start this week with news that the No.26 is an Ebbsfleet United player once again going into 2023/24.
