It’s a new destination for Fleet fans straight away as the Vanarama National League South champions travel to the club relegated from League Two on the first day of the new season – Rochdale.
The Greater Manchester club – with former Fleet midfielder James Ball in their ranks – will make their first foray in non-league against Dennis Kutrieb’s promoted side on Saturday, August 5th at 3.00pm (subject to any TV rearrangements).
The first home games for supporters will be the visit of Solihull Moors to the Kuflink Stadium on August 12th and then our first evening match hosting Aldershot Town on the following Tuesday (August 15th).
The local Christmas derbies throw up few surprises, with Bromley coming to the Kuflink Stadium on Boxing Day and our return visit there on New Year’s Day.
Easter sees the first visit from Southend United on Good Friday (March 29th) and the short hop over to Dagenham on Easter Monday. Somewhat nearer in time is the August Bank Holiday visit to Barnet on Monday August 28th.
One of the longest trips of the season, to Gateshead, also takes place in August (Saturday 19th) while there are first-time visits to Southend United (Saturday, October 24th), Oldham Athletic (Saturday, November 25th) and York City’s new ground (Saturday, December 23rd) to pencil into your diaries.
The season ends on April 20th with a visit to Boreham Wood, while FA Cup and Trophy dates are listed below with the Fleet, of course, coming in at a later stage thanks to our new National League status.
