Versatile Will Wood has penned a new deal to keep him at the Kuflink Stadium through 2021/22 as Fleet can announce the latest player signed in our recruitment and retention process this close season.
Wood, 24, arrived from Dagenham & Redbridge last summer in the left-back berth but has proved to be a hugely adaptable performer, turning out in a number of positions throughout the season and being extremely effective in an attacking wide left role.
Manager Dennis Kutrieb handed the former Southampton youth a number of different duties during 2020/21 and it has paid off for Wood who has enjoyed the most consistent run of games in his career at Ebbsfleet United.
Wood made his EFL breakthrough at Accrington Stanley after departing Southampton and also played on loan for Havant & Waterlooville before his move to Dagenham in 2019.
He went on to make 19 appearances for the Fleet last season as his strong performances were rewarded with increasingly regular starts through the campaign.
