Ebbsfleet United are pleased to announce the signing of 23-year-old defender Will Wood from Dagenham & Redbridge.
The former Southampton Academy product joins having gained National League experience with both the Daggers and Havant & Waterlooville over the past two seasons and following a spell in League One with Accrington Stanley.
Brought up in Burgess Hill, Wood began his career as a schoolboy at Southampton aged 11. He signed a three-year professional deal four years later and had trials with Portsmouth before moving on to League Two champions Accrington Stanley for the 2018/19 season.
He made his League One debut for Stanley against Bristol Rovers and also played against Charlton Athletic, Barnsley and Blackpool. That same season, Wood also earned his first taste of National League action, appearing on loan eight times for Havant & Waterlooville alongside former Fleet defender Tyler Cordner.
Wood signed a one-year contract with Dagenham & Redbridge last summer where he played alongside our other new signing this week, James Dobson.
