Watch England-Sweden on our big screen

In case you’ve been living on the moon lately, England’s World Cup quarter-final against Sweden kicks off at 3pm this Saturday, July 7th.

The club has already brought the kick-off of our pre-season friendly v Billericay Town forward from 3.00pm to 12.30pm to enable supporters to watch the big game in Russia straight after the final whistle.

We will be showing England versus Sweden on a 12ft screen in the Kuflink Stadium’s Sponsor’s Lounge and the Social Club bar will also be open for the duration of the match. Space in the Sponsors’ Lounge is limited so admission to there will be on a first come, first served basis but there is plenty of room in the Social Club as well. Free nibbles will also be served in the Lounge.

Billericay fans are also welcome to attend.

Daryl McMahon has taken his fair share of stick internally as a result of the Republic of Ireland’s non-qualification but he’s been composed in the face of extreme provocation. “Obviously me being Irish, I’d have been quite happy to miss it and kicked off at 3pm,” he joked. “But it’s the right thing for everyone to kick-off early. We’ve let the Billericay manager know we’ve got places to watch the game and plenty of beers so their players and staff are welcome to have a couple of drinks and watch it at our place. It’s been a great World Cup so far and a great opportunity for England to make the semi-finals and I think they’ve got every chance. Hopefully fans won’t be too distracted during our game, with the England one on straight after, and I hope everyone comes along and sticks around afterwards for the World Cup match.”
