Walking footballers in charity game

Ebbsfleet United’s Walking Football team will be taking part in a charity tournament this weekend in aid of a fantastic cause raising funds for a four-year-old boy suffering from neuroblastoma.

The Over 50s squad will be playing this Sunday (October 28th) at Goals in Dartford, kicking-off at 11am – and your support in person will be most welcome.

It’s all in aid of four-year-old Freddy who has neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of cancer that spreads quickly throughout the body. Freddy was diagnosed very quickly towards the end of August and began treatment immediately. He has to undergo chemotherapy at Great Ormond Street every 10 days, as well as other invasive treatments.

This is obviously a difficult period for Freddy’s family, hence the fundraising at this time. If you wish to donate, just approach any of the walking football squad to sponsor them or online donations are accepted here.

The club has also donated two signed footballs by our squad that will be raffled after the weekend charity matches.
