Ebbsfleet United will test themselves against opponents from a higher division as they play Welling United in the First Round of the FA Trophy at the PHB Stadium on Saturday, December 13.
The midday draw paired the two Kent clubs in an FA Trophy for the first time, though we did meet each other in the FA Cup in 1978 and 1979, Fleet winning both of those. Our previous meeting came in the league during 2010/11, with a 1-1 draw at Park View Road and Fleet winning 4-0 at Stonebridge Road.
The tie sees Fleet players Joe Howe and Anthony Acheampong come up against their old club, who currently lie in 19th position in the Conference.
