Surgical success for Clint

Ebbsfleet United defender Clint Easton has been discharged from hospital following a successful operation on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old, who fractured his right cheekbone and eye socket in the 1-0 win over York City two weeks ago, spoke to Fleet club physio Stuart Phazey about how well the surgery went: “Clint has asked me to pass on a message of thanks for all of the good-luck messages that he has received from the supporters. He hopes to be back in training as soon as he possibly can, and to be able to pull on a Fleet shirt again before the end of the season. He also wants to thank [club doctor] Dr Langley for his expertise and calmness during the aftermath of his injury against York.”

Clint had previously been “overwhelmed” with the messages from the fans in the days following his hospitalisaton and said it “goes to show what a great club the Fleet is”.
