Ebbsfleet United chalked up their first point of the season as they came from behind to stop Stockport County celebrating a second home win on the trot. Having been relegated from League Two last season, the home club, who promised a refund to fans were they not to win the match, were up against a Fleet side who a year earlier were playing in the quieter surrounds of Bishops Stortford.

Liam Daish recalled Preston Edwards for this trip north, while Ricky Shakes made way for Giannoulis Fakinos as Fleet lined up with a strong midfield line, Liam Enver-Marum and Michael West tucking in behind Calum Willock. And that midfield line made its presence felt within two minutes of the kick-off as Alex Stavrinou got an early caution after upending Danny Rowe.
