Solly surpasses scoring rate

He scored three goals in more than 10 years at The Valley but Chris Solly has already nearly managed the same in a few months at the Kuflink Stadium!

The Fleet defender opened his account for the club in the FA Cup against Hampton & Richmond Borough last October and doubled that with his first league goal to take a point at home to Chippenham.

“It’s a rarity me scoring, I think I only had three in my career before that,” Solly told BBC Radio Kent’s Charles Webster. “I had a felling Tanner was going to find that spot so I gambled, made my run early and spun round the back stick and he’s put it on a sixpence for me. It got us back in the game but we couldn’t go on and get the winner. We got stronger as the game went on but unfortunately Marts has hit the post and Dom has had another one in the six-yard box…”
