The Fleet’s next announced player from our retained list, staying for 2021/22, can be revealed today as German defender Sefa Kahraman.
The 24-year-old centre-back moved to England with manager Dennis Kutrieb from Tennis Borussia Berlin last summer, having been instrumental in the back line as the German club achieved back-to-back promotions.
Kahraman has adapted quickly to the English game, evident in the fact he played 19 times for the Fleet last season, and he has impressed with his driving forward runs, excellent ball-playing abilities from defence, not to mention his set-piece delivery.
Having been eager to test himself in the English game, the former Werder Bremen youth has thrown himself into the culture at Ebbsfleet, living locally and in his time back in Germany this close season, he has been spreading the Fleet gospel to his many family and friends back home who are now keen supporters of the club (and the proud owners of Fleet replica shirts!).
