Ron’s return puts Fleet in safe hands

Ebbsfleet United are pleased to confirm the re-appointment of Ron Hillyard as club goalkeeping coach to work alongside the management team of Steve Brown, Steve Gritt and David Jupp.

The former Gillingham stalwart – who still holds the Priestfield club’s appearances record – first arrived at Stonebridge Road in 2002 alongside his former teammate Andy Ford and worked throughout Liam Daish’s tenure as manager.

Following discussions with Fleet boss Steve Brown, Ron will continue the excellent work he has done already in helping develop three England C squad goalkeepers in Lance Cronin, Preston Edwards and Sam Mott – with recent signing Brandon Hall the latest to come under his guidance.
