The Women’s FA Cup has paired Fleet’s knockout heroes of Sunday with Portsmouth in today’s draw.
The Fleet Women came back twice against fourth-tier Chesham United Ladies and were given a home tie against Portsmouth Women.
Pompey play in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division, the third tier of women’s football, alongside the likes of Ipswich Town, Cardiff City and Chatham Town (formerly Gillingham).
Portsmouth won 9-1 at Fleet’s divisional rivals Fulham to reach Round Two and are currently top of their league so this will be a fantastic opportunity for our women’s team to go head to head with higher opposition once again.
Second Round ties are due to be played on Sunday 26 November – admission details about the game will be finalised and communicated as soon as confirmed. Victorious clubs will pick up £8,000 and losing teams collect £2,000.
