Fleet boss Kevin Watson has secured the services of Crawley Town midfielder Josh Payne until the end of the 2019/20 season.
Payne, whose existing loan deal was due to expire on Monday, will now stay at the Kuflink Stadium throughout the club’s fight for survival in the Vanarama National League.
The 29-year-old midfielder joined the club originally in October and has been an automatic choice in midfield since then, playing 17 games in all competitions and scoring two fantastic goals – against Sutton United and Notts County.
Both the player and club are delighted with the outcome of the deal and the Fleet would like to extend our thanks to Crawley Town for their consideration in the negotiations.
The club are still working to finalise deals for remaining loan players and we will publicise any such moves as they are completed.
