Palace’s Pinney is signing number two of the day

Hot on the heels of Neil Barrett’s arrival, Liam Daish has secured the services of 20-year-old Crystal Palace striker Nathaniel Pinney on loan, initially for one month.

Pinney began life as a Fisher youth player before moving to Palace and he is no stranger to first-team action, having enjoyed loan spells at Woking, Dagenham & Redbridge and Braintree Town. The 6ft-tall striker, who scored five times for Woking in 15 games and twice for Braintree in six games, goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s match at Newport County.

Liam Daish assured fans that both Pinney’s signing and that of Barrett “suit the club financially”.
