Fleet land league rivals in Trophy

Ebbsfleet United’s reward for getting past Molesey in the FA Trophy is a trip to Vanarama National League South rivals Oxford City in the First Round proper.

Having faced City for the first time in 17 years only a few weeks ago, a 1-1 draw the outcome, the clubs are now set to go head to head once more – two months before the planned league fixture at Marsh Lane.

City made it through their Trophy tie with a 6-3 win over Marlow and currently lie two places and eight points behind the Fleet in the league table.

Fleet’s only previous visit to Marsh Lane was a 2-1 league defeat in February 1998.
