Langmead leaves for Harriers loan

Fleet central defender Kelvin Langmead will join Vanarama National League side Kidderminster Harriers on a season-long loan ahead of the start of 2015/16.

The 30-year-old former Northampton and Shrewsbury player, with more than 300 Football League appearances to his name, was signed by Jamie Day in January, making his debut in the 2-1 defeat at Sutton United. He went on to feature regularly during the remainder of the 2014/15 season, playing in Fleet’s run to the FA Trophy quarter-finals and ending the campaign with 14 appearances.

Langmead’s move – a little more of a local one for him as he still lives in Northampton – will be his second spell at Kidderminster as he enjoyed a period on loan at Aggborough back in 2004.
