Gary Vaughan RIP

Ebbsfleet United Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong supporter Gary Vaughan.

Gary sadly passed away this morning after suffering from mesothelioma, an asbestos-related disease. He celebrated his 65th birthday in April after leaving hospital.

We as a club send our deepest condolences to Gary’s family at this very sad time.

His son Alex, also a Fleet supporter, posted his tribute on social media today saying that Gary “…was a true and committed Ebbsfleet United supporter, following the club for almost 60 years! He loved the Fleet passionately and one of my favourite memories is of seeing his happiness and elation at the final whistle of the second leg of the FA Trophy semi-final against Aldershot in 2008. Taken too soon and will be missed on the terraces.”
