Full steam ahead for Tamworth

There’s all to play for as Fleet’s relegation fight goes to the wire…

With news that champions Stevenage have saved the Fleet from relegation for now courtesy of a Scott Laird penalty in a 1-0 win at Gateshead, it boosts Liam Daish’s side who go into Saturday’s game at Tamworth knowing they can stay up and that they will have a larger-than-usual away following behind them.

Needing to win while hoping that Eastbourne and Gateshead both avoid gaining three points, Fleet fans are set to paint Tamworth’s Lamb Ground yellow with supporters urged to wear the colours of their club’s away shirts.
