Fleet’s very own Community MasterChef

Ebbsfleet United is delighted to be helping the Year 11 pupils of Ebbsfleet Academy in providing the inspiration for a food technology project assignment set by teacher, Laura Dickman.

The Assignment Brief is to design a two-course menu to serve at a fictional awards ceremony at EUFC, consisting of a main course and a dessert. The brief describes how the club chairman, Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi, would like to sample a tasting menu to be prepared within twow hours (including cleaning up and clearing away any mess in the kitchen).

The menu must present dishes suitable for the Fleet players and take account of their dietary requirements, as part of their own fitness and well-being regimes.

Kenny and I will be working with Laura to get Fleet players initially to complete questionnaires for all the Ebbsfleet Academy Year 11 pupils taking part in the project and to then host a select table of 10 in our new Sponsors’ Lounge. This will allow those pupils delivering the best menus to have the chance to serve their dishes, prepared in the New Main Stand kitchen, under the supervision of our own Executive Chef, Jack Cox, to our very own Master Chef critics.
