Fleet to join in the 5k for £5 challenge

Fleet’s Lawrie Wilson is extending his drive for NHS donations to the Fleet squad and fans, with a call to run 5km and donate £5 to the NHS.

It’s a funding effort that has already begun to gather pace amongst players of clubs up and down the country on social media and via Lawrie’s running club WillU Have Enahgy, he has set a target of £1,000 for the NHS.

So it’s simple and the long weekend is as good a time as any to join in as part of the Fleet family – simply run 5k, donate £5 to the NHS via the link below and post your times/donations screenshots/sweaty selfies to Twitter or Instagram with any of the hashtags #eufc #eufc5k or #WillUHaveEnahgy.

The fundraising page to donate is: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/willu-have-enahgy-running-club

It’s not about your times but about the achievement and the donation (you can walk 5k for the same benefit to the NHS) and we’ll be keeping a log of EUFC runners and walkers via this website.

*We would, of course, like to add that this run should be part of your daily exercise routine and that you maintain the advised social distancing rules and respect for others out and about in the process!
