Fleet make a Virtue of new shirt sponsor

Ebbsfleet United is delighted to announce Virtue Drinks as the club’s new front-of-shirt sponsor for our milestone 2021-22 season.

The multi-award-winning London-based brand will adorn the front of both our home and away anniversary shirts in this coming 75th campaign for the Fleet, with record pre-orders of those new shirts taken by the club since the launch in April.

Virtue Drinks was established in 2016 and its major investors include England international and ex-Manchester United/AS Roma defender Chris Smalling. It’s an ethical company with a drive to shake up and clean up the energy drinks market with a product that eschews the contents and artificial chemicals normally associated with such drinks for all-natural, zero-sugar, zero-calorie ingredients.

The range of Virtue Clean Energy and Virtue Yerba Mate is currently stocked by Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Whole Foods, Holland & Barrett, Amazon and Planet Organic – and soon, of course, at the Kuflink Stadium! – and exports to retailers in 30 countries. The brand is a partner of rainforest conservation charity World Land Trust, producing drinks with yerba mate which is certified Fairtrade and EU & USDA Organic.

The ethics and clean nature of Virtue Clean Energy align with the club’s commitment to reducing the carbon footprint and follow on from this season’s new partnership with zero-emission brewery BrewDog.

Fleet CEO Damian Irvine told the club website, “With the progress the club has made over the past 18 months we have been grateful for a great deal of interest from progressive companies looking to join us. Our loyal front-of-shirt partners Kuflink agreed to make space for new partners and we finally settled on Virtue Clean Energy who are an enthusiastic, forward-thinking young UK-based brand for our shirts.

“Chris Smalling, who has a history of ethical investments, has recently put a six-figure sum into our new sponsors and we are delighted to be placed alongside him as Virtue Drinks’ latest football partner.

“I’d like to thank Kuflink for their generous sponsorship over the past two seasons and they will, of course, continue to partner with the Fleet in our commercial activities through the naming rights of the Kuflink Stadium here at Stonebridge Road.

“We are now in the final process of getting the Virtue logos adorned on our hugely popular new shirts and we thank all Fleet supporters for their orders – we’ll be getting their new Virtue Drinks anniversary shirts out to them very soon now and we can’t wait to see them on display at the stadium for our opening home game on August 14th.”

Entrepreneur Rahi Daneshmand, who launched Virtue Drinks five years ago, said of his company’s link-up with the Fleet, “We are really excited to be partnering with Ebbsfleet United this upcoming season and cannot wait to see all that the team will achieve in their 75th year! The club’s ethics are well aligned with ours and we will proudly be supplying the team our clean energy drinks.”
