Ebbsfleet United were handed another home tie as one of the last teams out of the hat in today’s Emirates FA Cup draw, paired with fellow Vanarama National League South club Chippenham Town.
This will be the first ever meeting between the sides, with the Wiltshire club hosting the Fleet in the league in November as well.
Like the Fleet, Chippenham needed penalties to get through on Saturday, seeing off lower-league Poole Town from the spot.
The Bluebirds finished 14th in last season’s National League South and last season went all the way to the First Round Proper in the Emirates FA Cup, losing to Northampton Town. That, together with similar runs in 1951/52 and 2005/06 remains the furthest they have reached in the competition.
The tie is due to take place behind closed doors as things stand on Tuesday, October 13th at 7.45pm. The winners will received £5,625 and the losers £1,875.
