Fleet could repeat Notts ties if replay is won

Ebbsfleet United or Woking were paired at home to fellow National Leaguers Notts County in the draw for the First Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

It’s a potential feeling of deja vu for Fleet fans who have been drawn at home to County twice previously this century. The game would take place on the weekend of 9th November.

In 2000/01, then in the Ryman League, Fleet lost 2-1 at Priestfield Stadium to the Magpies, the game at Stonebridge Road having been called off four times because of a waterlogged pitch.

The clubs met for a second time in 2003/04 in the Second Round live on Sky Sports, Fleet taking the lead in that one but succumbing to a last-minute goal to once more lose 2-1.

Fleet and Notts County met for the first time in a league fixture earlier this season, drawing 2-2 at the Kuflink Stadium (pictured above).

All of it, of course, will count for nothing unless Fleet get past Woking on Tuesday night in the replay. The Fleet Supporters Trust are running a coach to that one. Book for that by following this link.
