Like most of us around the world at this current time, Fleet boss Kevin Watson is observing government advice to stay inside – nonetheless, he’s issued a video message to the club’s supporters as the cancellation of football (as with most other things) continues.
“I just wanted to send out a message to you all,” the manager said. “I just want to say a big thank-you on behalf of the players and myself and all our staff for all your support which has been incredible.
“We’ve had some tough times and some good times and we’ve been on an OK run since, culminating in two fantastic away performances. Who knows what’s going to happen – behind the scenes our people at the top are doing as much as they can to fight for our future in the National League.
“What I would say is stay with us, stay safe, look after each other, abide by the rules and look after your loved ones. We prepare like we will be starting again. All being well, we’ll be back on that pitch before we know it.”
