More than 100 family, friends and club supporters gave Chris Pilkinton a proper Fleet send-off yesterday at Gravesend crematorium.
Tributes were read by Ebbsfleet United director Stuart Butler-Gallie and associate director Jessica McQueen and a service full of Chris’s favourite songs and music included the moving tribute put together by Ed Miller, with help and contributions from many Fleet fans. Members of the Fleet first-team squad also attended and applauded Chris on his way, with his funeral cortege departing from Stonebridge Road and guests then returning there for a wake and a recollection of the many stories Chris provided us down the years.
• The club also wishes to extend its sympathies to the families of Derek Keywood and Alan Coombes who passed away recently and also to supporters Alan and Emma Wyatt on the recent loss of a beloved family member.
