Fleet trio on standby for England duty

Stacy Long, Mark Ricketts and James Smith are in the standby squad for the England C team…

Fleet goalkeeper Lance Cronin will once again represent the England C team later this month, but three more Fleet players are on standby for their country’s next fixture. Stacy Long, Mark Ricketts and James Smith are part of a further 17-man contingency squad, to serve as replacements should any of the full squad drop out.

England C’s second International Challenge
Trophy Group A fixture with Wales, is to be played at St James
Park, Exeter, on Wednesday 20 February, kick-off 7.45pm. After the victory in Finland last November, in which Cronin featured, a further win against the
Welsh will put the side in an excellent position to qualify for next
year’s final.
