Old rivals Margate and Hartsdown Park stand in the way of a Kent Senior Cup Final berth for the Fleet…

Coastal neighbours Margate stand in the way of a Kent Senior Cup final for Ebbsfleet United after the draw for the semi-finals was made on Friday. The Ryman League Premier side are well known to Fleet fans having shared Conference status with us not so long ago. The last time the Fleet travelled to Hartsdown Park in the competiton was for the final of 2001-02 when Andy Ford’s newly crowned Ryman League champions defeated Margate 5-0 to lift the trophy for a third time in succession.

It will be a chance for fans to see old Fleet favourites Jimmy Jackson, Steve McKimm, Justin Skinner, James Pinnock and Rob Haworth, all of whom now play for Margate.

In the other semi-final holders Bromley meet Cray Wanderers. Both ties have to be played by March 31. The club will announce the date of the semi-final following consultation with Margate
