Fleet snap up Woking defender Gary MacDonald…
With the impending likely departure of one MacDonald, Liam Daish has
swelled the Fleet ranks with another, Gary MacDonald, from Woking.
The 27-year old tough-tackling central defender, who played under
Liam Daish at Havant & Waterlooville in 2000-01, has league
experience with Peterborough United (21 games) and has also played for
Stevenage.
He joined Woking in the summer of 2003 and can play left-back as well as in the centre of defence.
Dangerous from set pieces with an aerial presence to match,
MacDonald was a popular figure at Woking, where he clocked up more than
120 appearances in four seasons.
