Cronin and Slatter back in full training

The latest injury updates from physio Paul Wilson, with some positive news for two players.

Fleet goalkeeper Lance Cronin is now back in full training following the finger injury that has ruled him out of the start of the new season. Scott Tynan has taken Cronin’s place for the opening three games, but the former Palace keeper could soon be back in contention for a starting spot. Another player who has yet to feature this season – Danny Slatter – has also been working hard on the training pitch to regain his fitness and he is not too far away from a squad return.

Mark Ricketts is still receiving treatment on his knee after being carried off on the opening day of the season, but he has regained full movement and will be stepping up his rehabilitation later this week.

New boy Neil Barrett has had the results of his scan and they have shown some ankle ligament damage. The area is swollen, but is improving each day with treatment by Fleet’s medical and fitness staff and Neil has been able to gain good movement of the ankle. His return is likely to be delayed for another six weeks or thereabouts.
