MARGATE 1-4 EBBSFLEET UNITED

Luke Moore grabbed a sensational 10-minute hat-trick in the first-half of this evening’s Kent Senior Cup semi-final at Margate’s Hartsdown Park.

Moore’s three-goal blast came on 12, 17 and 22 minutes and George Purcell added a second-half goal. Margate, featuring former Fleet favourites Jimmy Jackson, Steve McKimm, James Pinnock and Rob Haworth, grabbed a consolation but it wasn’t enough to stop the Fleet progressing.

It means the Fleet qualify for their second final of the season and
will meet Cray Wanderers at the ground they share with Bromley (Hayes
Lane ) on a date to be decided. Cray won tonight’s toss of a coin for
home advantage following the Margate game. Fleet lost 3-2 to Bromley in their last KSC Final appearance, also at Hayes Lane, in 2005.

TEAM: Mott, Bull, Turbine, Henry, Springett, Appahi, Stubbs, Maskell, Nade, Moore, Purcell. Subs: French, Duff, Callender, Kinnear, Nowotny.

Att: 192
