Eirich returns to Germany following Fleet spell

Ebbsfleet United wishes our No.17 of last season Alex Eirich well as he returns home after spending the 2020/21 season with the club.

Eirich moved to Kent from Germany to follow manager Dennis Kutrieb from Tennis Borussia Berlin last summer. An exciting prospect as an attacker or wide player, Eirich had returned to fitness after a spell out through injury. He made his debut in the home game against Tonbridge but such was the stop-start nature of the season that a regular run in the side was difficult to come by.

The 27-year-old was one of two German players to turn out for the Fleet, the returning Sefa Kahraman being the other, and he lived locally during his time with the club. A diligent and enthusiastic member of the squad in training and on matchdays, Eirich played a full part in the recent run of friendlies to end the 2020/21 season.

The club would like to place on record our thanks to Alex for his hard work at the Fleet and send him our good wishes on his future career back home in Germany.
