The Fleet travel the short distance to Princes Park this evening to take on Dartford in our second pre-season friendly.
Fresh from the 4-3 win at K Sports which saw a strong side fielded in the first-half and an eleven made up largely of trialists and academy players in the second, Garry Hill will take the opportunity to cast an eye over some more hopefuls against our neighbours.
Our last visit to Princes Park was the Boxing Day 2016 defeat in the National League South but the previous friendly between the clubs was earlier that summer in the Ryan Hayes Testimonial when Darren McQueen, then a mystery trialist, scored twice for the Fleet in a 4-2 defeat.
McQueen will be representing the home side tonight following his permanent summer transfer and Dartford could also name ex-Fleet players Charlie Sheringham and Tom Bonner as they seek to shrug off the disappointment of missing out on last season’s play-offs.
Kick-off is 7.45pm and admission is: Adults £10, Concessions £5, Children (5-12) £2.
