Coaching trio depart club

Ebbsfleet United can announce today the departure of coaching staff Michael Jordan, Stacy Long and Aaron McLean.

Michael has served as goalkeeping coach since the summer of 2016 and was also registered as a backup goalkeeper to Nathan Ashmore and Jonathan Miles.

Stacy had two spells as a Fleet player, winning the FA Trophy in his first stay in 2008 and going on to play more than 170 times for the club. He returned in a scouting and coaching capacity under Daryl McMahon.

Aaron was signed as a striker from Barnet in January 2016, playing in the Fleet’s promotion final victory of 2017 after returning from a long injury. He played 41 times for the club, scoring on 12 occasions, the last in the Kent Senior Cup earlier this season. He retired from playing this year to become the club’s striker coach.

The club wishes to place on record its very great thanks to all three of our backroom staff who were key in the Fleet gaining promotion in 2017 and making the National League play-offs the following year. We wish them every good fortune and success in their future careers.
