Billericay kick-off brought forward

The Fleet’s opening friendly at home to Billericay Town will now kick-off at 12.30pm instead of 3.00pm to avoid a clash with a potential World Cup quarter-final involving England.

Should the Three Lions win their Second Round tie with Colombia this Tuesday, it will set up a quarter-final showdown against Sweden or Switzerland in Samara at 3.00pm on Saturday 7th July.

The club has decided it better to give notice of the kick-off change as early as possible once we were able to confirm with the opposition, match officials and matchday staff. Win or lose in the England match, the game at the Kuflink Stadium will now go ahead at 12.30 regardless.

Immediately following the final whistle and assuming (and hoping!) that England win on Tuesday, fans are invited to watch the quarter-final in our bar in the Main Stand. More details will be published after the England result is known.
