Big Ben brings aerial dominance to defence

Twenty-five-year-old defender Ben Frempah becomes the 14th signing for the Fleet today as the former Ross County man moves back to Kent for the 2020/21 season.

The 6ft 3in Italian-born centre-back began his career with Fisher and Cray Wanderers and also played in Charlton’s U18 side before being spotted by Leicester City scouts and moving up seven leagues to the King Power Stadium aged 18 in 2013.

For the past two seasons he has trained full-time with Wycombe Wanderers and was a highly regarded and valued member of Gareth Ainsworth’s squad that won promotion to the Championship this summer.

After leaving Leicester in 2014, Ben moved on to Ross County in the SPL, playing against Celtic and Aberdeen amongst others in 2014/15. Since leaving Scotland, he has also turned out for Hendon, Solihull Moors, Guiseley, Wycombe and Wingate & Finchley. At Wycombe, he made his League One debut against Charlton Athletic in April 2019.

Particularly good in the air, his composure on the ball is another feature of his game and we welcome Ben to the Kuflink Stadium.

If you would like to sponsor our latest signing or any of the other new players in the Fleet squad, we are taking bookings now on 01474 533796 or info@eufc.co.uk.
