Be there for BBQ and Bounds-beating!

An event for Fleet fans to make a note of, where they can show their support for one of our local Community Partners, is the Community BBQ organised by community gardening initiative, No Walls Gardens, which takes place on Friday, 25th September, at The Secret Garden, The Hill, Northfleet, 4.30 – 6.30 pm.

If you can spare the time please pop along and show your support for a great project – and you can bring your own drinks.

EUFC will again be supporting the Mayor of Gravesham’s Beating the Bounds charity walk, this year on Saturday 3rd October, the morning of the home game v Maidstone United. General manager Dave Archer has offered the facilities at Stonebridge Road as the starting point for the first day of the two-day event organised each year by the incumbent Mayor. Walkers of all ages are invited to join Gravesham’s current Mayor, Councillor Michael Wenban, as he carries on the ancient tradition of
‘Beating the Bounds’ over the weekend of 3rd/4th October.

The borough perimeter is about 35 miles, with approximately six miles being the river Thames. Last year those taking part enjoyed the hospitality of Dave and his team with tea and coffee and bacon rolls. So popular were these last October, that organisers have vowed to return this year.

Tonight we also welcome the coaches and players of local youth football team Youth Ngage FC who will receive a donation of Mitsubishi footballs on the pitch before kick-off; please give them a warm Fleet welcome.
