Angels in the last eight

Ebbsfleet United will visit Tonbridge’s Longmead Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Kent Senior Cup following the announcement of the draw today.

The Bostik Premier title contenders, managed by former Fleet favourite Steve McKimm, last played the Fleet in a county cup game in 2013/14 when our 3-0 win in the First Round kick-started a run to the final and our last time lifting the trophy.

This quarter-final meeting will be the 11th Kent Senior Cup pairing between the clubs, Fleet having won five and lost four of them. Two names amongst the Angels playing squad familiar to Fleet fans will be Craig Stone and James Folkes. Tonbridge have progressed to this stage of the competition with a 3-2 win at home to Sittingbourne and by the same scoreline at Whitstable Town.

There is no confirmed date as yet for the tie, which will be announced when the clubs arrive at a mutually convenient arrangement.
