The Kent derby game at the Gallagher Stadium, Maidstone, on Tuesday August 11th has been announced as an all-ticket, segregated match.
The club have been in close dialogue throughout this process with Maidstone and CEO Bill Williams and both clubs yesterday received police instruction insisting on ticket allocations and segregation.
Redevelopment works at the Gallagher Stadium, mainly in the segregated away area, mean the ground capacity is only 2,300 of a planned 3,000 and so space is at a premium.
Fleet fans will be allocated 250 tickets for the match, of which 77 are seated and the balance segregated standing.
The club have been informed that our allocation of tickets will be forwarded to us next week, when they will go on sale on one evening only, to be confirmed on receipt of the tickets.
2015/16 season-ticket holders will have priority on the basis of one ticket per season-ticket holder and they must bring along their cards to purchase.
The Fleet Trust office will be open at the ground at the same time to manage coach bookings, which will only be taken on the production of a valid match ticket.
The club understands that the allocation of tickets is very tight and that season-ticket holder priority will naturally mean some supporters unfortunately missing out. However, in the circumstances of the match having been scheduled against Maidstone’s wishes this early in the season, plus the police advice to segregate and allocate us the standard 10% of visiting tickets, we trust this is the fairest possible way of dealing with the situation.
Maidstone have advised that gates will open at the Gallagher Stadium on 18:15 on the evening of the game. Away supporters will not be admitted through the home turnstiles and are advised not to travel without a valid match ticket.
