Wish I had stayed at home and watched the Hammers. The football was Sunday morning stuff, the referee was at best an inept fool and at worst biased.
The third penalty was definately outside the box.
As a club we are trying to attract bigger crowds. With clubs like Southport to look forward to again next season, I might not bother renewing my season ticket, they played the referee like a fish all afternoon and he fell for it hook line and sinker.
Joke is they want respect, don't make me laugh.

I have never felt such a lack of being dispirited after a defeat. And that's because I know we didn't lose. And I have never said that after a defeat before. In reality, we did not lose. Some little bloke with an inferiority complex decided we did. Simple as.

It wasn't even like a boxer who gets beaten on a dodgy points decision - more like one who floors his opponent for a count of 9, but gets disqualified on a technicality called by a ref who misinterprets the rules.

I don't believe refs cheat. I do believe they get hings wrong & I know they get it in for teams (or their fans) who upset them in some way. Maybe we shouldn't have protested the 1st 2 penalties so loudly & berated him so loudly, thereafter - I don't know.

That said, when the whistle went, all I wanted to know was how do you find out whether there has been an unusual volume of betting on an unusual occurence - like 3 penalties awarded to the away side in a nondescript non league game?

Just about to start the editing now.
I'll let you know later this evening (about 10.30.p.m.'ish).

100 yards away from the first pen so not a clear view, although it looked as if the player was bundled to the ground.

2nd no complaints. Cronin shouldn't have been anywhere near it, should have stayed on his line as the player was going away from goal.

3rd. Again, no complaints. Leg is stuck out, player goes down. Whether there is contact or not, that is exactly how the referee sees it.

All three penalties were correct IMO.

The 'offside' was an absolute joke, although I will wait for the highlights to see it again.

Good performance by the lads today, deserved a draw at least, I thought but that's football. Roll on Gateshead.

Few are disputing they were fouls Joe, albeit soft ones, the questions being asked are whether they were inside or outside.
From my vantage point, the goal deemed offside was perfectly legitimate.
The lino was making a name for himself.

Denzill, watching an hour and a half of keepy uppy might be your idea of entertainment, but this side dived at every opportunity, played the ref for a fool, and had very little skill. Personally I would sooner watch BSS football, it's more entertaining and there are more local derby's.
The last time I checked, I paid for my season ticket so the choice is mine.
Like I said this afternoon was not value for money for me and as it's my money I will voice my oppinion if it's ok with you.

I think it was Tony Burman on RK yesterday saying how welcome the prospect of playing 8 local derbies are in the BSS, not just for the excitement but also for the revenue they bring.
We could do with some ourselves.
Just hope Dartford win the play offs.

Absolutely. Voice away. I simply responded to your point; "With clubs like Southport to look forward to again next season, I might not bother renewing my season ticket....".

Somewhere in amongst your opinion voicing, I see you'd rather see some BSS. That's fine. To develop the 'discussion', I wonder if that is watching BSS at Ebbsfleet or, should Ebsfleet stay up, watching BSS somewhere else?

I'm only asking, I thought it was the point of the boards?

Where were you placed though Joe? I had a pretty good view from a few yards up from the edge of the area in the seated stand &, whilst I was fearing a free kick in a dangerous positioion, I was amazed when he pointed to the spot. Could be wrong - I'll see if the video shows anything - though it is taken from the other side of the pitch.

Yes, we didn't get what we deserved today. I think we'll find Gateshead a tough nut to crack, though.

Only 12 points off Woking now with 2 games in hand and Woking look to be stuttering a bit at the moment. If Darts win their games in hand, anything could happen.

Don't quite follow your logic here - hardly the 'fleet's fault the opposition were softer than candyfloss in the penalty area and ref was hoping to make it into the Guiness Book of Records!

1st and 3rd penalties were soft, and the second one was just pure suicidal by Lance. The funniest thing that happened today was their captain (Moogan) stacked it after Phippy tried to get the ball off of him and Phippy pushed him gently and he made a meal of it and injured himself in the process pure comedy gold.

The mighty Fleet deserved a result today. Southport ground out their victory - apparently they've been doing that all season. They're nowhere near the quality of Fleetwood and Mansfield.

Gozie scored a great goal from excellent work by Ricky. Although I initially thought that the first penalty was the correct decision, that view was not shared by some Southport supporters who were standing behind the goal. Their view was that their man had dived.

Right at the start of the second half, we should have had a penalty when Gozie was clipped as he was about to shoot. I was standing just beside the corner of the box so I had a clear view.

For the third penalty incident, I was in line with the incident. The tackle was outside the box. The ref was poor throughout.

Tom had an excellent game, including his time at full back. I agreed that he was MoM. As someone else has suggested, let's hope that we can keep Gozie until the end of the season. Ross is coming back to form - we'll certainly need him with Yado pulling a hamstring. Ram played well as did most of the others.

Good luck to Preston for his impending game for England C. Congratulations to Lance for his 200 appearances for the mighty Fleet.

What was the rugby football result today Freddie???
